NAMO GURU DHARMASVAMI KUMARASHVARe YE

I pay homage to Guru Dharmasvami Kumarashvare.

The Three Jewels who are the crowning jewels of all beings including gods,

Marpa, Mila and Dakpo are the three universal forbearers of the accomplished masters,

Barompa father and sons are the protectors of beings;

I entreat you to spread the essential doctrine of definitive meaning.

Barompa, whose name is renowned in the three realms,

Is one of the four great illuminators of the precious teachings of incomparable Gampopa,

Who was prophesied by the Buddha;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

The four great sons, the upholders of the traditional instructions,

The four close disciples and the five lineage holders,

And myriad disciples who have accomplished supreme siddhi;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, the heart son of Dharmashvare,

Who introduced the natural Mahamudra,

Which is innately arisen in the nature of the wish-fulfilling jewel mind;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, who has the unborn mind transmission of Zhang,

Being free from all extremes of elaborations, like whirling a spear in space,

The space yogi whose view encompasses the whole universe;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, the upholder of the transmission of meditation on buddhahood,

By way of total mastery of experiential realization of the Secret Mantra teaching

Through the higher training of concentration;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, the heart son of the lord of dharma Jigten Gonpo,

Upon whom fell the special instruction lineage of impartial dependent origination,

The innate ultimate reality and illusory manifestation of conventional truth;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, the heart son of Taklung Thangpa,

Who saw his lama as an actual buddha

And who possessed the incessant upsurge of faith and devotion;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, who mastered the six teachings of Naropa,

Which are the means to actualize the innately arisen primordial wisdom,

By focusing on the key points of the vajra-body;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

Barompa, who has fully mastered the skill of Mahamudra, the path of liberation,

Actualized omniscience through the four yogas

And equally perceived the uncontrived basis, path and fruition;

May the teaching of the victorious Dakpo lineage of Barompa flourish.

The assembly of lamas, personal deities, dakas, dakinis and dharma protectors,

Through the blessing of the power of the truth of having attained the ten powers,

May the dharma flourish and holders of dharma live steadfastly

And may the universe be filled with great virtue.

At Tashi Gonpa monastery which preserves the tradition

Of the victorious Drikungpa, who has mastered dependent origination,

During the teaching of the Monkey year celebration of Tsari [sacred site],

In accordance with the wish of the two great beings, the sun and moon,

Of Tsangsar Namgon monastery which upholds the Barompa lineage,

And at the behest of Rigzin Jatson and his entourage,

As related to me by Lama Karma Gelek Sangpo,

I, Lodoe Gyatso, a follower of Dakpa Kagyü, have written this aspirational prayer.

May the teaching of the practice lineage flourish extensively.

SUJAYANTU

May all be victorious!

May we accomplish everything as we wish through the truth of the Three Jewels, the blessings of all buddhas and bodhisattvas, through the power of the great reign of the perfect completion of the Two Collections and through the power of the perfect and inconceivable dharmadhatu.

In the north of the Land of Snow,

The jewel ornament of the world, the excellent blazing torch,

The prosperous country of Tibet,

May the teachings of the eight practice lineages flourish!

May there be auspiciousness for the wellbeing of the world!

Please make this world a peaceful one!

Barompa, the entity which embodies all myriad buddhas,

The holder of the treasury of the profound, secret, maturing and liberating instructions,

May the sun of the teaching of the glorious dharma lord,

Barompa and sons, spread in the world.

The glorious lama Dharma Wangchuk,

The embodiment of the buddhas of the three times,

And Trishiri Repa, the protector of beings;

May you guide me throughout my successive lifetimes!

Under the feet of Lüme Dorjee, the leader of siddhas,

The precious garlands of accomplished masters come without interruption

In the eighteen mountain monasteries;

May this doctrine spread across the sky!

Through the virtues of this effort,

May I and all other beings quickly attain the state inseparable from Lama Barompa,

Who is Akshobhya Heruka

Encompassing the supreme union of E-vam,

Make it auspicious with the offering of flower petals and musical instruments.
